Two Portrait Slates Shipped

Emma and Dino Help PackThis morning I shipped 2 more portrait slates to Pa. One is of a Border Collie and the other is a portrait of an American Bull Terrier. Yes, my assistant helped me pack along with her brother DINO.  Emma takes her job very seriously while DINO saw it as a great opportunity to play.

Dogs and Car

Dogs and CarI just shipped this car with dogs wood portrait order to Provincetown, Ma this AM.  The client wanted them looking out the window of his car---It is 24" long and has a standing picture frame backing as requested.  EMMA of course helped from the drawing to the painting to the packing.  The only step she did not participate in was cutting it out of wood---she is not allowed in the basement.

Curing Time

Mailbox Ready to ShipAt last another mailbox is almost ready to ship.  From a past experience with some minor peeling of the paint on the metal mailbox, I learned you can not hasten curing time.  It takes 2 weeks for the paint to cure and then 3 coats of an exterior varnish MUST be applied---NO SHORT CUTS!  Fortunately this lesson was learned before I finished this Jumbo mailbox with a Gordon Setter and an English Setter on the large blank side of the box and the dogs in a field with birds on the flag side of the box---11 days to shipping.  No mistakes made, nothing learned!  Of course my Calico cat, EMMA, got into the act early on---sampling the carton the box came in from Amazon.com

Emma Helps

Emma Helps OutI don't know how I could have put together 300 cards without EMMA's help.  Believe me, without her comic relief it would have been a tedious chore.  I hope to sell some at the Pet Expo at the Livingston Mall, NJ on 6/12-6/13.  So do come with a cat carrier and bring home a new Best Friend or a leash for a Barker.  I do not dare bring my carrier---EMMA would literally have a hissy fit--DINO would enjoy a new playmate, however, EMMA rules !!
